UNH Athletics and Campus Recreation are great opportunities to participate in campus life and student traditions. And while everybody knows about Wildcat hockey (or should), UNH varsity teams offer a wide range of action from September through May.
Recreational activities are popular ways to socialize and stay fit at UNH.
One place most students recreate is at the Hamel Student Recreation Center.
A 104,000-square-foot on-campus facility with many opportunities for students
to pursue fitness, recreational, and competitive sport activities. The
Whittemore Center Ice Arena is attached to the Recreation Center and is
a great place for students to skate. There is also the UNH Outdoor Recreation
Area on Mendums Pond in Barrington with its own swimming areas, canoe/kayak
rentals and sailing center.
