Major & Course Selection
It is important that students meet with their academic advisors to discuss
upcoming courses and major selections. Advisors can help seek out specific
major requirements, shed insight on appropriate classes, and help a student
choose general education classes and electives that fit with their interests.
Here are a few other avenues students can take to explore majors and learn
more about prospective classes.
1. Review UNH majors based on your interests, skills and values
2. Review required classes for those majors
3. Ask your friends what classes they've enjoyed and why
4. Ask faculty in that major:
- What qualities make a good student in the major
- What attracted them to the major
- What careers are available
5. Try a particular career on for size by interning for a semester with
a particular company in your field of interest
