  1. I forgot my RAC (Registration Access Code) number where do I get it?

    If you forgot your RAC number then you have to see your ADVISOR or bring your signed Registration Worksheet to the Registration Office. RAC numbers are NOT given over the telephone.

  2. When can I start web registration?

    UNDERGRADUATE REGISTRATION DATES

    All undergraduates including external degree candidates must register going to MyUNH and selecting the Webcat/Student Services tab. You must see your adviser before the dates listed below. Your advisor will give you a Registration Access Code (RAC) and tell you what day and time your window opens for registration. RACs are assigned randomly within each class.

  3. What is the online address to register?

    The online address is MyUnh.unh.edu.  Login and select the Webcat/Student Services tab.

  4. The course is flagged as Department Approval Required or Permission Required; what do I do?

    You sign up for Department Approval Required courses in the department office. For Permission Required courses you must see the instructor for permission then sign up in the Department Office before registering on online.

    You MUST register for Department Approval Required courses over the web AFTER you sign up in the department office.

  5. How do I register for a Major Restricted Course?

    You need special permission to register for a Major Restricted Course if it is not in your declared Major. You will need a Registration Override Form to be able to register for one of these courses.

  6. Do I have to see my advisor to register online?

    Yes, you must meet with your advisor and select your courses. Your advisor has your RAC number that allows you to register online.

  7. Why am I limited to 18 credits, and how can I have that restriction overridden?

    Students are restricted to 18 credits during web registration to give all students a chance to register for 16 credits (4 courses). If your program requires you to register for more than 18 credits, you must check with your Dean's office.  Student can register up to a maximum of 20 credits once classes begin.  Students wishing to carry more than 20 credits must petition their dean andpay a surcharge.

  9. I'm having trouble registering online what do I do?

    If you are having trouble registering online call the Registrar's Office at (603) 862-1500, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

  10. What does RAC mean?

    RAC stands for Registration Access Code number which a student gets from their advisor. Graduate students use the number 600001 for your Registration Access Code.

  11. There is a time conflict between two courses I need to take?

    You need special permission to register for courses with overlapping times. You need to fill out a Registration Override Form form and bring it to the Registrar's Office in Stoke Hall with the proper signatures.

  13. What do the text abbreviations stand for?

    P - means PM, R - means Thursday
    * - indicates a course with limited spaces available

    CRN - Course Reference Number is used for registering for courses.  Places appropriate Course Reference Numbers in boxes on the registration worksheet.

    SEC - Section codes for some courses provide sub-sections with distinct subject matter differences, and different titles.  Section codes (courses listed as 795 A01, B01, etc.) are used to enable the computer to differentiate this kind of section from the more common kind of multiple section course in which the sections differ only in time offered.

    Spec Fee - Special fees assessed because of expenses associated with the course.  The catalog also lists whether or not a fee is attached to a course.

    WI - indicates a "Writing-Intensive" course.
    GN1-8 - indicates a General Education course and its category.
    Var - variable credit course; see catalog for range of credit hours appropriate to the course.  To change credits in a variable credit course online register for the course return to the Registration menu and click on Change Credit Hours in Variable Credit course option.
    Co-Requisite - a course or section (usually a lab or discussion) which must be taken in the same semester.  All co-requisites must be listed on the registration worksheet.

    You can register online as many times as you like during your assigned days. You may change sections or courses, or you may simply listen to the system speak back your registration information.

    If you were unable to register for a complete schedule over the web, please contact you adviser immediately for assistance.

  17. I didn't register in my allotted time. Can I still register for courses?

    Yes, you may register, make changes to your schedule online between July 14 (8:30 a.m.) and September 1, 2008 (6:00 p.m.).
