Graduate Student Registration Information for Spring 2010

GRADUATE STUDENT REGISTRATION INFORMATION FOR SPRING 2010

Registering online via MyUnh, in person and mail-in graduate registration begins November 23 (8:30a.m.).

Continuing graduate students are expected to register for classes before January 26, 2010 (the first day of classes). Graduate students who register after February 2, 2010 will be assessed a $25 late fee.

NEW graduate students must register by January 25, 2010.

Students may register by:

  1. Registering online via MyUNH (blackboard.unh.edu) and clicking on the WEBCAT/Services tab (go to the Web Registration Information Page for more information).
  2. Completing a Graduate Registration Form and bringing it to the Registration Office in Stoke Hall.
  3. Completing a Graduate Registration Form and mailing it to the Registration Office at:

WEB REGISTRATION DATES

November 23, 2009 (8:30 a.m.) -  December 2, 2009 (11:59 p.m.)
December 11, 2009 (8:30 a.m.) - February 2, 2010 (6:00 p.m.)

Online registration is available 24 hours a day, Monday - Saturday (not available on Sundays).

GRAD 800
Students who register by web for GRAD 800 (CRN 20962) should pay online at the time of registration. Students who register by phone should mail a check (be sure to include student ID number, address, and daytime phone) for $200 Continuing Enrollment fee, payable to UNH, to: UNH Business Services, 11 Garrison Avenue, Durham, NH 03824. Students who register by mail should send registration form and check (be sure to include student ID number, address, and daytime phone) for $200 Continuing Enrollment fee to: UNH Registration Office, Stoke Hall, 11 Garrison Avenue, Durham, NH 03824-3511.

GRADUATE CONTINUING ENROLLMENT AND DOCTORAL RESEARCH:

From February 3, 2010 through February 12, 2010 online registration is only available for registration of the following:

GRAD 800.01 CRN 20962
GRAD 900.01 CRN 20524 College Teach & Environ Ed majors
GRAD 900.02 CRN 20633 CS and ENGR majors
GRAD 900.03 CRN 20707 Non CS/ENGR CEPS majors
GRAD 900.04 CRN 21970 COLA majors
GRAD 900.05 CRN 21971 COLSA majors
GRAD 900.06 CRN 21972 WSBE majors
GRAD 900.07 CRN 21978 HHS majors

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

Login into MyUnh then click on the WEBCAT/Services tab above.

Click on Registration, Add/Drop classes, and then click submit term (Spring 2010).

Enter 600001 for your Registration Access Code (RAC).

You will need the 5-digit course reference number (CRN) for each course.

If you have trouble registering call the Registration Office, (603) 862-1500, during regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00a.m. - 4:30p.m.

  1. Select Webcat/Services Tab
  2. Select Registration
  3. Select Printable Schedule

UNDERGRADUATE COURSES

Graduate students may register for undergraduate courses beginning December 11, 2009 by bringing a registration form with the instructor's signature to the Registration Office in Stoke Hall or by asking the department to grant "permission" to register on the web.  Once permission is granted students may register on the web.

DEPARTMENT APPROVAL REQUIRED

To register for a course identified as needing permission from the department in the Time & Room Schedule, you must FIRST sign up in the department office and THEN register by web.

LATE REGISTRATION

Graduate students who register after February 2, 2010 will be charged a $25 late fee.

DROP/ADD

Students may drop and add courses on the web through February 2.  Students who wish to make changes to their schedules after September 2 must complete a Graduate Registration Form and follow the drop/add and other deadlines listed in the Registration Calendar 

(NOTE EXCEPTION:  Web registration for GRAD 800, 900 & 999 continues through February 12.)   Students who drop courses after the first day of classes may be responsible for a portion of tuition and mandatory fees in accordance with the Withdrawl Date Schedule

DEGREE STATUS DISCONTINUED

Students who do not register and pay by February 12, 2010 will have their degree status discontinued. Students who wish to resume their academic program, will need to petition for reinstatement and pay a $65 reinstatement fee and any applicable late fees.

UNH-MANCHESTER REGISTRATION

Students who are taking courses in both Durham and Manchester may complete their registration on WEBCAT or in person at either location. Registration for UNH-M courses begins Monday, November 23, 2009.  Students may register and pay at both sites or at a single site.

FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS AND BILLING

Students who register after January 25, 2010 must pay tuition and fees at the time of registration. Please do not wait to be billed. You may check your balance and pay your bill on at MyUnh at anytime. You will be dropped from your courses if payment is not received by February 12, 2010.  Bills are not mailed or printed.  Billing notifications are sent to students' UNH assigned email accounts.

Students who plan to use Payroll Deductions should make arrangements with Business Services by January 22, 2010.

HOW TO PAY YOUR BILL ONLINE!

To make a payment on your account, just log in to MyUnh (blackboard.unh.edu), click on WEBCAT/Services tab, then click “Bill/Account Summary” menu option, then select "Make E-Payment now."   Enter the appropriate account and dollar information on the screen, and submit the payment.  You will receive a payment confirmation number.  For a view of your most recent or previous bills, choose the "Bill Statement" link at the upper right.
