Friday, August 16

LAST DAY for presenting final copies of PhD. dissertation or master's thesis to Graduate School for binding (September 2008 graduation).

Monday, September 1

Summer Graduation date - no ceremony

LAST DAY to withdraw or drop courses and qualify for 100% refund.

Webcat registration ends at 6:00 p.m. for undergraduates.

Labor Day, University Holiday

Tuesday, September 2

Classes begin.

Tuesday, September 9

LAST DAY for graduate students to register without $25 late registration fee.

Friday, September 12

LAST DAY to withdraw, to drop to part-time, or to reduce part-time load and qualify for refund based on  3/4 tuition refund (based on 3/4 difference in tuition).

Friday, September 19

LAST DAY to add courses or honors designation.

LAST DAY to drop courses or honors designation or change to audit without $25 per course late drop fee.

LAST DAY to choose Pass/Fail grading option.

LAST DAY for graduate students to register and pay without having degree status discontinued.

Friday, September 26

LAST DAY for undergraduate degree candidates to file an Intent-to-Graduate via WEBCAT for December 2008 without $25 late fee.

LAST DAY to withdraw, to drop to part-time or to reduce part-time course load and qualify for 1/2 tuition refund (based on 1/2 difference in tuition).

LAST DAY for graduate & undergraduate students to drop courses or honors designation or to change to audit ($25 per course late fee applies).

LAST DAY to carry excess of credits without surcharge.

Deadline for undergraduate level coursework resolving Spring and Summer 2008 IC grades. 

Friday, October 24

Special Grade Reports resolving IC grades from Spring and Summer 2008 are due in Registrar's Office for all undergraduates and all other students with IC grades in 400 through 700 level courses.  Petitions for extensions are due in Registration Office.  Unresolved ICs will be converted to Fs. 

Friday, October 31

LAST DAY for undergraduates to file an Intent-to-Graduate via WEBCAT for December 2008 with late fee.

Last day for graduate students to file Intent-to-Graduate via WEBCAT for December 2008 with $25 late fee.

November

Month of November Spring 2009 registration begins.

Tuesday, November 4

Election Day - no exams can be scheduled.

Tuesday, November 11

Veterans' Day observed, No classes, Offices closed.

Wednesday, November 19

LAST DAY for final Ph.D. dissertation defense (December 2008 grads).

Wednesday, November 26

Classes follow FRIDAY schedule.

Thursday, November 27 - Friday, November 28

Thanksgiving Holidays, No classes, Offices closed.

Monday, December 1

Classes resume.

Friday, December 5

LAST DAY announced written or oral exams may be given before finals.

Friday, December 12

LAST DAY of classes.

Deadline for graduate level coursework resolving Spring and Summer 2008 IC grades. Petitions for extensions are due in the Graduate School, Thompson Hall.

LAST DAY  to change college until January.

LAST DAY to file Completion of Minor form for December 2008 Graduation.

LAST DAY for presenting final copies of PhD. dissertation or master's thesis to Graduate School for binding (December 2008 graduation).

Reading Day; 6:00p.m. final exams begin.

Friday, December 19

Special Grade reports resolving Spring and Summer 2008 Incomplete grades are due in the Graduate School for all graduate degree and non-degree students with Incomplete grades in 800- or 900- level courses; unresolved Incompletes will be converted to "F".

Saturday, December 20

Final Exams End.

Wednesday, December 31

Graduation date - no ceremony.
