About the Speakers Bureau

The UNH Speakers Bureau is an outreach service made possible by volunteer speakers from among the faculty and staff who teach, conduct research, study and work at UNH. Last year, volunteer Speakers Bureau participants gave more than 100 presentations to schools, seniors groups, service clubs, business associations and community centers.

Our Speakers have an unparalleled enthusiasm for sharing their expertise and extending our learning community to every corner of our state. Take advantage of this resource to see and hear for yourself the people and ideas that make the University of New Hampshire such a dynamic and engaging center of learning.

Our speakers offer insights on a broad range of topics, both local and global, cultural and political, scientific and literary. Check out our category list or search by keyword. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, let us know and we will work to find an expert in your area of interest.

To request a speaker or for more information, fill out our online form or contact us at 603-862-4401 or by email. We will acknowledge your request and contact the appropriate speaker to check availability. Once confirmed, the Speakers Bureau will put you in touch with the speaker and provide biographical information for use in introducing the speaker and publicizing the event.

Please note:
Speakers do not require honorariums; however, if an organization generally offers an honorarium, UNH speakers appreciate similar consideration. We reserve the right to limit the number of speakers provided to any one group. Please acknowledge the UNH Speakers Bureau when introducing speakers to your group, or in any advertising and media interviews related to the speaking engagement.

Engaged Experts

The Speakers Bureau is proud to announce that thanks to our dedicated faculty and staff speakers, the 2007-2008 academic year has been one of tremendous growth. The program welcomed scores of new speakers, with interesting and informative presentations, and connected them with a record number of engagements for non-profit organizations, schools, and community and civic groups. UNH speakers are educating, enriching, and changing lives across New Hampshire. Read More (pdf)
