$750.00 • Given to the Academic Integration Team to expand the What Matters to Me and Why Program which is designed to give faculty and staff the opportunity to interact with students encouraging them to share personal values, motivations, and beliefs.
$1,200.00 • Given to the UNH Alternative Break Challenge Program to assist in supplying transportation for 160 UNH volunteers who are headed out to various parts of the United States to participate in community service work during the UNH spring break.
$1,100.00 • Given to the UNH Campus Recreation Program for the purchase of cross country ski equipment to expand the equipment rental program. This equipment will be available for students, faculty and staff to rent at a nominal rate.
$1,000.00 • Given to the Language Resource Center to purchase a CD duplicator and a memory card reader. This equipment will allow greater numbers of students to directly access the Language Resource Center's materials more directly, improving the actual learning process.
$500.00 • Given to the Mechanical Engineering Dept. for the student based Beach Wheelchair Design & Construction Team. The Beach Wheelchair design team aims to design and construct a wheelchair that can be easily propelled by the user and manufactured for under $2,000 per chair.
$1,300.00 • Given to the Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention Program (SHARPP) to assist them in their annual educational outreach program - Take Back the Night. This program is designed to raise awareness around the issues of sexual violence for the entire UNH campus community.
$1,500.00 • Given to the Thompson School of Applied Science to support the new initiative of a Peer Tutoring Program. This program was developed to pair up students who have successfully completed Thompson School courses with new students currently taking these courses to increase retention, increase course material understanding & promote study groups.
$1,200.00 • Given to the Undergraduate Research Program to support the implementation of a new university course: Intercollege Student Research designed to provide undergraduates with research experience. Specifically these monies will assist in the website development and publicity for the Intercollege Student Research initiative.
$500.00 • Given to the UNH Figure Skating Club to assist them in renting ice time at alternative ice skating arenas for practices.
$1,000.00 • Given to the Whittemore School of Business to assist in developing the Community Service component of the Introduction of Business course which is a required course for all entering business majors.
$1,100.00 • Given to the Women's History Project to duplicate their traveling exhibit; A Century of Progress and to install this exhibit as a permanent display at the Memorial Union Building Grafton Lounge.
