Kudos
to the UNH Transportation Services people
To
the Campus Journal Editor:
I am a regular rider of Wildcat Transit and campus shuttle buses
and have been for most of the 15 years I have worked at UNH. I want
to commend UNH Transportation Services for the improvements I have
seen happening on and off campus recently. The new shelters, better
signage and lighting at many of the stops, new routes including
the West Edge express, and fuel efficient buses have all added up
to better service for their riders. The people who work for this
department have taken a lot of heat in the past for the overall
sad state of affairs of campus parking, and many of the problems
are things they have no control over, but they seem to be able to
make the best of a bad situation and keep trying to provide the
best service possible. Kudos and keep up the good work. If any of
you are close to a UNH bus route but you haven’t tried riding
the bus yet, I encourage you to do so. It is a great way to help
the environment, alleviate the stress of trying to find a parking
space, save your gas money, and even make new friends.
