honored with national awards
Hospitality Services has won two national menu awards through NACUFS
(National Association of College and University Food Services).
UHS won a bronze award for Residence Hall Dining-Standard Menu for
a medium school, which includes the entire dining program —
dining hall and retail. UHS was judged on menu selection, merchandising
and presentation, marketing and nutritional soundness.
UHS also won a silver award for Retail Sales-Single Stand-Alone
Concept/Outlet for a medium school for its “With Panache.”
UHS was judged on criteria including menu selection, merchandising
and presentation and marketing.
The contest recognizes outstanding menu cycles, presentations, special
event planning and new dining concepts as well as provides an avenue
for sharing ideas and creative presentations in collegiate dining
Holloway Commons will be open during the summer with special promotions
for faculty and staff. “With Panache” will be open during
the summer from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
