FYI
The Farmers Market is Opening
The Durham Farmers Market is open now through October. The market is in the Pettee Brook Parking Lot every Monday from 2:30 to 5:30 PM. There are several farmers selling vegetables and fruit, and residents will also find cut flowers, plants, bread and pastries from Currents Bakery, and more. Buying from local Farmers Markets encourages local food production, keeps land open and in farming, provides fresh, healthy food for residents, is a way of teaching our children where food comes from, and is an opportunity to meet the farmer who grew the food.
