UACC Hosts Events for Psychology, CEPS, COLSA, and HHS Students
Faculty and staff are asked to remind psychology students that a career event on internships and career plans will be held Wednesday, March 29, at 6:30 p.m. in the MUB, Room 321. The Psychology Club and the UACC are hosting the event, and UNH psychology alumni will attend to share their experiences. Students will learn how a degree in psychology can prepare them for a variety of careers. The UACC also will host its final Resume Review Day, Thursday, March 30, noon to 4 p.m., Hood House. The event is geared to CEPS, COLSA and HHS students. Employers from those industries will be on hand to critique resumes.

UNH Hosts Corporate Responsibility Initiative’s Kick-Off Event With CNN’s Myron Kandel
Three prominent national figures from government, finance and the law will inaugurate New Hampshire’s new Initiative For Corporate Responsibility and Investor Protection. Trip Report: P.T. Vasudevan Travels to Portugal for Bioenergy Conference
P.T. Vasudevan, professor of chemical engineering, received one of the 2005-06 CIE Faculty International Travel grants funded by the VPAA. Annual UNH Greenhouse Open House Is March 31 And April 1
Never mind the fickle New England weather: Spring will arrive in Durham March 31 and April 1, when the University of New Hampshire Greenhouse hosts its annual Open House (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Seagrass Is In Decline Worldwide, Says UNH Researcher
Around the world, seagrass beds – shallow-water ecosystems that are important habitats, food sources, and sediment stabilizers – are in decline, says Frederick Short, research professor of natural resources and marine science at the University of New Hampshire. And as these underwater meadows disappear, so do commercially valuable shellfish and fish, waterfowl and other wildlife, water quality, and erosion prevention. More >>> (03-29-06)
