Lactation room available
Dimond Library and the UNH President's Commission on the Status of Women are pleased to announce the opening of a new lactation space on campus available to everyone in the UNH community. Located in Dimond Library, this private room contains a hospital-grade Medela breast pump, a gliding rocker, a refrigerator, and soft music. The room is designed for nursing and milk expression. Benefits Fair is Nov. 1

The 2005 UNH HR Benefits/Services Fair is Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Granite State Room, MUB.  Detailed information regarding this event is available at:  http://www.unh.edu/hr/pod/benefits-fair-2005.htm. The USNH Benefits office will be sending out Open Enrollment packets in late October that will contain information on the 2006 changes and updates in core benefits for all faculty and staff. Flu Clinic set for Nov. 9
Health Services will hold a flu clinic open to the UNH communit Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Granite State Room, MUB. The vaccine for faculty/staff is $22, and $14 for students. Cash, checks, Mastercard, Visa and Cats Cache accepted. The Centers for Disease Control recommends that individuals with chronic illnesses or conditions obtain the vaccine prior to Oct. 25. If this applies to you or someone you know, the vaccine may be obtained in advance by calling Health Services at 2-2856. (10-19-05)

Learn about Technology Enhanced Classroom Oct. 28
CIS Academic Services will hold a brown bag lunch Oct. 28 to discuss ”Technology Enhanced Classroom (TEC)
Room Design: Past and Future.” David Scannell, manager of audio visual services, will provide the theory behind the design of TEC rooms and where UNH is going with it. Gymnastics Classes for Children Available at Field House
Gymnastics classes for school-age community children are being offered Wednesday afternoons at the Field House. Boys and girls classes of all levels are taught in a safe, progressive manner. For information call 2-2181. (09-28-05)

IROP Information for Faculty
The International Research Opportunities Program (IROP) funds undergraduate research projects abroad every summer. Know a student who’s a good candidate? Want to be a mentor yourself? Current juniors may apply by Oct. 20 for funding for summer of 2006; sophomores may apply by April 6 for funding for summer of 2007. Information sessions for students to learn more about how they can develop a project, investigate a topic, and receive funding will be held Tuesday, Oct. 25, 3:30-4:30 p.m., MUB Room 302; and Tuesday, Nov. 1, 1–2 p.m., MUB Room 332.
