Last day to turn in benefits enrollment forms
Faculty and staff can make changes to their USNH benefits during the UNH open enrollment period, which runs the month of October. Forms were mailed the week of Sept. 27. Those making changes or re-enrolling in a Flexible Spending Account must return completed enrollment forms to Human Resources, 2 Leavitt Lane, by Friday, Oct. 29. All changes will take effect Jan. 1, 2005.

Lactation room available
The UNH President’s Commission on the Status of Women is pleased to announce the opening of a new lactation space on campus available to everyone in the UNH community. Located in Batcheller House, this private room contains a hospital-grade Medela breast pump, a gliding rocker, a refrigerator, and soft music. The room is designed for nursing and milk expression.

Have lunch at the Oak Room
The Oak Room is open to faculty and staff for lunch M-F 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Located in Huddleston Hall (side entrance by Fairchild Hall), it is a short walk from the Holloway Commons bus stop.

UNH recognizes faculty outreach scholars
UNH welcomed back President Emerita Joan Leitzel to launch a new program jointly supported by Research and Outreach Scholarship and the Provost’s office designed to build faculty strength in outreach scholarship and advance the academic strategic plan. An induction ceremony held Oct. 13 at Holloway Commons honored the 22 professors nominated for inclusion in the inaugural year of the Outreach Scholars Program. (10-29-04) More >>>
