New director sought for Shoals Marine Lab

Applications are being accepted for the Kingsbury director of the Shoals Marine Laboratory, a cooperative partnership between Cornell University and UNH. The lab is a primarily undergraduate teaching program on Appledore Island in the Gulf of Maine.

Although based at Cornell, the director will be responsible for implementing the SML's academic programs and overseeing operations, serve as liaison with UNH and be involved with fundraising. Cornell especially seek applications from established scientists who would be appointed as associate or full professor at Cornell.

Public forum scheduled on Campus Master Plan

University and town community members are invited to a public forum about the progress of the Campus Master Plan update. The forum will be held Wednesday, May 7, from 4:30 to 6 p.m., in MUB Theatre II. Consultants Ayers/Saint/Gross and campus planning staff will present and summarize the observations, principles and concepts developed during precinct and committee meetings held this winter and spring, and solicit discussion on preliminary master plan components. Registration opens for UNH Girl's Soccer Camp

Space still is available for UNH Girl's Soccer Camp July 20-24. The overnight camp is for all abilities, ages 10-18. Tuition is $455, and includes five days of soccer instruction, room and board, a soccer ball, and a T-shirt. Retirement celebration set

Friends of Dick Lewis, associate professor and director of Health Management and Policy undergraduate studies, are invited to celebrate his retirement from 3 to 5 p.m., Monday, May 19, at the Elliott Alumni Center, 1925 Room.




Space available in Camp Wildcat

UNH Camp Wildcat is accepting reservations for its 2003 camp season. Camp Wildcat is a day camp for youths going into grades 2 through 7. Session I runs from June 23-July 3, Session II from July 7-July 18, and Session III runs from July 21-August 1. The cost for each session is $270. PAT/EE recognized on May 15

The annual recognition program for PAT and Extension Educators will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 15, in the Strafford Room, MUB. Staff will be honored for longevity and excellence. The cutoff date for this year's recognition is May 31. Info: 862-0503.
