Faculty: Remind your students about summer research abroad
Summer fellowships of $3,000 plus $500 for expenses are available through the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program for students who want to pursue a research project at a location outside the United States. Faculty should direct interested students to the UROP Office, 209 Hood House, for information/applications. Students must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA when applying and must be junior status at the time that they use their fellowship. Deadline: Dec. 16, 2002, for summer 2003.

Participants sought for study on nutrition and eye health
Participants are being sought for a nutrition and eye health research study in the laboratory of Professor Joanne Curran-Celentano. To participate, you must be between ages 18-50, a nonsmoker and willing to allow 40 minutes of your time. If you qualify, you will receive information of your diet, cholesterol and vision; receive a $10 stipend; and have the opportunity to participate in a larger study with a stipend of $200. Ready for the shutdown of the Kingsbury Data Center?
Users of information systems hosted by the Kingsbury Data Center need to plan for the center's two-stage move to One Leavitt Lane and resulting temporary shutdown of several UNH and USNH systems and applications.
All VMS-based systems will be moved Oct. 19-26. Those include: CUFS (for payroll processing), HUM (HR), SIS Banner, 1032 database, VMS mail and VMS printing. This move will affect the Payroll Office, Human Resources, Registrar, Financial Aid, Business Services, Admissions, Graduate School, Institutional Research and WebCat.
All other systems will be moved over the holiday break Dec. 21-Jan. 2. This will affect users of Banner Finance and Management Reporting, Banner HR (Project FRESH), CISUNIX e-mail, grants management (Info Ed), time clock users (Kronos), and the facilities information management systems (Prism).
