Honors in Major
To receive honors-in-major, a music major must maintain an overall grade point average, and an average in music and music education coursework, of at least 3.20. Sixteen course credits must be earned in music or music education courses in classes approved by the instructor as "for honors." Finally, an honors student must complete for an additional four credits an honors thesis or other honors project under the supervision of a faculty member.
