Construction Project Description
Complete renovation of residence hall building originally constructed in 1915.
The renovated hall will provide traditional residence hall-style housing for 126 students. Common areas will include a recreation lounge, three small study lounges, as well as kitchen and laundry facilities. The renovated Fairchild Hall will have air conditioning and will be handicapped accessible with the inclusion of an elevator and a modified central entry. The project also includes roofing replacement, exterior masonry repairs, modifications to the south façade, perimeter building drainage improvements, as well as installation of an energy-saving heat recovery unit to capture and re-entrain latent energy from the bathroom exhaust air.
