The Honors Experience
The University Honors Program at the University of New Hampshire is dedicated to recognizing outstanding students and to enriching their undergraduate academic experience at one of New England’s best and most lovely public universities. What does this mean for you?
We want you to challenge yourself in our small seminars. Expand your horizons in New Zealand or Hungary, the Netherlands or Japan. Take a summer to work in a cancer lab, paint French landscapes, or drill into the Arctic ice core. Use your skills to land an internship producing a newsletter for a non-profit state-wide arts organization. Pursue a research topic of your own choosing, and present it at a conference. Argue happily with your colleagues about movies and campus issues and current events. Represent the Program, the University, and yourself to visitors, from parents and prospective students to campus speakers and presidential candidates. Your Honors experience at UNH will prepare you for just about any direction you choose: from elementary to graduate schools, from the exploration of space to the exploration of subatomic particles, from criminal justice work right here in New Hampshire to children’s health projects in Ecuador.
Stop by the Honors Office and let us help you take the first step.
