home page for our department ..."? Or perhaps you find your "other duties
as assigned" include maintaining the departmental Web pages! From creating
a Web page to placing it on the Web this lecture/demo will help you put it
all together.

- To provide participants with the basics of setting up and maintaining
a Web site at UNH.

- Create your workspace
- Directory/folder, subdirectories/subfolders
Creating Web pages:
- HTML (HyperText Markup Language)
- HTML Editors
- Text, Enhanced Text, and WYSIWYG editors
- Viewing and preparing pages
- Naming conventions/case sensitivity
- Proprietary extensions (FrontPage)
- CGI, Java, sound and vision
Getting on the Web:
- Choosing the location for your site
- UNHinfo
- Home Page Contributor Service
- Using FTP
- PubPages
- Setting up your account to serve Web pages
