Mechanical opportunity to learn and interpret technical information, including first article of inspection. Student may interact and interface with engineering and manufacturing staff. Essential Functions: Conduct Electrical testing of cables including utilization of network analyzers Will generate test data, including downloading of electronic information Will log written data as required for the records and report generation Maintain an organized and clean work environment Communicate and work closely with co-workers and supervisors Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Attention to detail is required Knowledge in basic circuit theory Prefer student has ability to work independently with minimal direction Reading comprehension skills to understand written manufacturing specifications and instructions and procedures in English Oral communication skills to exchange information with co-workers and supervisors Good math skills and above average mechanical aptitude necessary Will use hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, verniers, and other measuring devices Proficient computer skills utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word Qualifications: Electronics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Major Familiarity with Basic and/or Visual Basic programming Familiarity with electromagnetic principles, transmission theory a plus Working Environment: Office/Manufacturing Environment Periods of sitting Working on PC Use of hand tools
