Geotechnical Engineer, Portland, Maine

Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and executing geotechnical explorations and provide
oversight of geotechnical investigations including directing drilling
subcontrators.  Prepare field reports and internal correspondence. Review
and compile field and laboratory data and conduct engineering analyses for
environmental and construction projects.  Prepare proposals and
geotechnical reports with supervision.  Additional responsibilities
include soil and groundwater sampling. 

Requirements:
B.S., Civil Engineering (geotechnical focus preferred); 0 to 4 years
related engineering experience; E.I.T. (FE/EI) certificate or ability to
obtain with six months; excellent writing and communication skills;
willingness to travel to locations anywhere in the US for field programs;
Additional preferences, MS and 40 hour OSHA training.  Must pass, MVR and
background check
